Strategi, mål og resultater
Utviklingen av et globalt språk for helse – som forener helsesystemer fra hele verden og gjør dem i stand til å kommunisere med og forstå hverandre – er en internasjonal bestrebelse.
SNOMED International ble grunnlagt på dette prinsippet. I 2007 ble IHTSDO etablert for å bygge og styrke SNOMED CT, andre helseterminologier og relaterte terminologiprodukter, og for å utvikle, vedlikeholde, fremme og muliggjøre innføring og korrekt bruk av sine terminologiprodukter i helsesystemer, tjenester og produkter over hele verden. Vi er en sterk og stolt samarbeidende medlemsorganisasjon som betjener og svarer på behovene til helsesektoren.
I 2017 tok vi i bruk handelsnavnet SNOMED International, for å gjenspeile vår utvikling til en produkt- og tjenesteorientert organisasjon. Vi samarbeider med våre medlemmer og andre interessenter for å prioritere den strategiske utviklingen av SNOMED CT for å møte behovene til helsesektoren.
Syn
Innen 2025 vil kliniske terminologier bli brukt globalt, noe som vil resultere i bedre helse og forbedrede pasientresultater, støttet av ett helsespråk.
Oppdrag
SNOMED International produserer bærekraftig et globalt klinisk vokabular og andre tjenester som muliggjør tydelig utveksling og analyse av helseinformasjon for alle.
Strategisk retning
I løpet av en årelang konsultasjonsprosess har SNOMED International og dets tilknyttede Community of Practice fastsatt organisasjonens 2020-2025-strategi. Å nå frem til denne strategien har vært en aktiv og samarbeidende prosess mellom deltakere som representerer organisasjonen, generalforsamlingen og styrets styringsorganer.
Ved å bygge på et sterkt grunnlag som er muliggjort gjennom suksessen til 2015-2020-strategien, kan organisasjonen begynne å utvikle en modell for å koble til andre terminologier og klassifikasjoner, og gi et mer informert syn på pasientens journal.
Årlige arbeidsplaner
Våre aktiviteter inkluderer levering av vanlige tjenester (f.eks. den halvårlige SNOMED CT-utgivelsen) og prosjekter som dekker spesifikke behov til medlemmer, tilknyttede selskaper og sluttbrukere. Prosjekter er nedfelt i årlige arbeidsplaner utviklet av ledergruppen, basert på innspill fra medlemmer og andre interessenter. Arbeidsplanen skal godkjennes av generalforsamlingen.
