HealthScore application has been implemented in a non-profit general hospital (AMGH).
Scope
The HealthScore application is being used by the Registration Desk, Billing Department, doctors across various departments - Plastic Surgery, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry etc.
How SNOMED CT will be used
SNOMED CT is being used to capture all clinical notes including allergies, vitals, past history, family history, symptoms, clinical findings and diagnosis.
Why SNOMED CT will be used
The focus of our effort is electronic clinical notes and not billing. SNOMED CT was chosen for multiple reasons, primary being, the standard for a vast number of clinical terms, and providing an ontology that helps grouping by multiple hierarchies as applicable.
